GEMS (Girls Embrace Math and Science) is a math and science competition for girls in the 3rd to 5th grade that will tentatively take place on March 25th, from 9AM to 4PM.
This is an event where we encourage collaboration over competition through a series of science/math activities and tests throughout the day.
Participants learn to work with each other and approach difficult STEM concepts in a thoughtful, logical way. Activities include robotics, building marshmallow towers, listening to guest speakers in STEM fields, free pizza, and more!
