Spelling Bee Finals Moved to February 12th
Due to recent inclement weather and the forecast of snow for the evening of February 5th, the PTSA has decided to postpone the Spelling Bee finals. The finals will now be held on Wednesday, February 12th, our originally scheduled backup date.
Attention 2nd Grade Families! March is your month for Staff Appreciation!
What is Staff Appreciation? Each year Cherry Crest families show their appreciation for our outstanding educators by volunteering to provide food, beverages, and paper products throughout the school year to help restock the staff room and encourage our teachers with a monthly breakfast. Each Grade is assigned one month to focus their efforts… March is your month! Sign-up to bring items here.

Calling All Cherry Crest Students! It’s time to rise and shine for this year’s Cherry Crest Variety Show! Showcase your singing, dancing, gymnastics, magic tricks, or any special talent on stage!

Corp Matching Blankets Pickup at Festival of Cultures
Thanks to everyone for all your contributions during Giving Month! For those of you who were able to use corporate matching to double your impact of $300 or more, you’ve also earned a Cherry Crest blanket.
Library Volunteers Needed
We need parent volunteers to help our wonderful librarians Mrs. Lux and Mrs. McClelland. Volunteers must attend a training first if they haven’t volunteered before in the library. The first training will be on Tuesday 9/17 at 2:40 PM.
Girls on the Run Returning to Cherry Crest!
The Girls on the Run Spring 2024 Season is right around the corner and we have limited spots available on the Cherry Crest team!
Girls on the Run is so much more than running. 3rd through 5th grade participants will have fun, make friends, increase their physical activity levels, and learn important life skills.
Meetings take place at Cherry Crest and will be on Mondays and Thursdays, 2:30-4:00 pm.

Our annual PaperPie Book Fair (formerly Usborne Books & More) is coming to the Cherry Crest Library this week!
When: Tuesday Dec. 5th – Thursday 8th.
Hours: Open for shopping at lunch recess and afterschool each day (exact hours TBD) plus family night on Tuesday.

Sammamish Summer Basketball Camp
The Sammamish basketball program is hosting a Summer Basketball Camp for 3rd – 8th graders to kick off summer break on June 19-20 from 9 am-12 pm at Sammamish High School (main gym).
The Girls Varsity team and coaches will be running the players through fun drills, competitions, games, and scrimmages over the course of the three days. All levels are welcome. Bring a snack and be ready to play!
