Your Feedback for Next Year

Thank you to all those that filled out the PTSA Feedback Survey. Your input is invaluable in helping us plan and improve for next year. Full survey results can be found here. Our $50 survey raffle winner is Emily Crahan. If you have any other feedback or ways we can help, feel free to email us at: ccbod@cherrycrest-ptsa.org anytime.

Spelling Bee Co-Lead

We’re gearing up to host another Spelling Bee next school year. We’d love to have another co-chair  shadow our current lead so the Spelling Bee tradition at Cherry Crest can continue beyond ’24-’25.

Join the PTSA Board

We’re looking for a new VP Comms to join the PTSA Board. No experience is needed — just a growth mindset and appetite to learn and contribute. You’ll get a direct say on what happens in the PTSA and help make a difference at Cherry Crest. The time commitment is estimated to be <5 hours per month.

School-wide Staff Appreciation Week is May 8-12

Monday, May 8 – Students bring flowers and cards for teachers and staff
Tuesday, May 9- PTSA sponsors make-your-own snack bags
Wednesday, May 10 – PTSA sponsors personalized Starbucks orders
Thursday, May 11 – PTSA sponsors catered lunch
Friday, May 12 – Families donate desserts for staff buffet

Thank you in advance for your contributions. Together we strengthen our community! Questions? Email: staffappreciation@cherrycrest-ptsa.org

K-2 Author/Illustrator visit coming up March 23rd

On Thursday March 23rd local author/illustrator Ellie Peterson will be presenting to all K-2 classrooms in three separate presentations in the library.  We are lucky enough (thank you BSF!) to have Ellie two years in a row at our school.

Ellie often specializes in books that focus on science, including the topics of monarch butterflies, honeybees, our seasons and our planet earth.  Some students will also experience an “Eat With Ellie” lunch in the library where they can find out more about what it’s really like to work as an author/illustrator and ask more in-depth questions. Want to know more?  Visit her website:     https://www.elliepetersonart.com/

*Look for a paper coming home next week if you would like to preorder one of her books to have signed and personalized for your student.
