Cherry Crest 4th grader Anastasiia Kozlova was awarded Outstanding Interpretation for her dance choreography The Beauty of Difference by Washington State PTSA Reflections 2022-23 program in the intermediate grade category.

Cherry Crest Running Club is excited to welcome members of the Sri Chinmoy Oneness Home Peace Run on Tuesday, May 9th during lunch recess.  This global torch relay has teams run through over 100 countries with a simple goal – “to create a feeling of goodwill among peoples of all nations.”  Students will hear the runners’ message of peace and be able to join them for a few laps around the school track.  Questions? On Thursday March 23rd local author/illustrator Ellie Peterson will be presenting to all K-2 classrooms in three separate presentations in the library.  We are lucky enough (thank you BSF!) to have Ellie two years in a row at our school. 

Ellie often specializes in books that focus on science, including the topics of monarch butterflies, honeybees, our seasons and our planet earth.  Some students will also experience an “Eat With Ellie” lunch in the library where they can find out more about what it’s really like to work as an author/illustrator and ask more in-depth questions.
