As a small token of our appreciation, the Cherry Crest Staff invites our amazing Cherry Crest Comm(UNITY) volunteers to join us for a Volunteer Appreciation Coffee and Awards Ceremony in the café on Friday, May 20th at 8:15am

Whether you have helped in the classroom, library, lunchroom, playfield or on a field trip, we want to thank you!  Our program includes personalized messages of thanks from classroom staff, the presentation of the PTSA Golden Acorn Award and an opportunity for volunteers to provide input for your hopes, dreams and desires for family engagement in 2022/23.

The Cherry Crest Running Club is excited to welcome members of the Sri Chinmoy Oneness Home Peace Run on Friday, May 20th during lunch recess.

This global torch relay has teams running through over 100 countries every two years with a simple goal – “to create a feeling of goodwill among peoples of all nations.” Students will hear the runners’ message of peace and can join them for a few laps around the school track.

All lost and found items are available outside the school’s front doors. Please drop by and take a look. Any items not claimed by Friday, April 29 will be donated

Cherry Crest families are invited to attend monthly virtual meetings hosted by Principal Dusty Steere and PTSA presidents Reetika Saxena & Jocelyn Tu. Cherry Crest Yearbook captures your child’s memories of the school year. It will contain snapshots of the events of the year with a page dedicated to each classroom – this includes your child’s photo and name!

All students should bring their Walk-a-thon badges back to school this week. Scan your badge one time during lunch recess this week and be entered to win Otter Pops for your class!

Thanks to a Go! Grant from AMPED (https://everykidsports.org/) awarded to Cherry Crest Elementary in 2020, this FREE club will be offered every day at lunch recess (except Wednesdays) at the Cherry Crest track until Friday, June 17. This is an optional activity for students who are welcome to run or walk as much or as little as they wish! Students will earn a running charm for completing 5K, 10K and Half Marathon milestones. Certificates will be presented by Principal Steere or Assistant Principal Stedman to students who complete a Marathon (26.2 miles)! Volunteers are needed to setup the self-scanner, help kids as needed and put everything away at the end.
