The 2024 Spelling Bee was a huge success, with well over 100 students participating! Congratulations to last year’s winners Tanesh Kumar, Julia, and Raj. A special congratulations goes to Taneesh Kumar, who made it all the way to the King County Finals in the Seattle Town Hall! You can check out his impressive performance here.
We’re excited to announce the Cherry Crest Spelling Bee is returning for the 2024-2025 school year! Registration is now open for the preliminary round, which will take place on November 6th. If your child is interested in participating, please fill out the registration form here by November 1st.
This event is sponsored by the PTSA and is completely free of charge. We can’t wait to see who will be representing Cherry Crest!

How it works:
All students can download the word list from the Cherry Crest PTSA website .
At the preliminary round, all participants will be grouped by their grades. Top performers in each grade will enter the final round in February 2026. The Champion from the final round will represent Cherry Crest in the Regional Spelling Bee contest.
