Carnival FAQ

Why should I donate to the Cherry Crest PTSA?

  • Our PTSA helps enrich the academic experience of every student at Cherry Crest.
  • In Bellevue School District, budget shortfalls are overcome with levies, grants and local fundraising. Cherry Crest PTSA provides approximately $200,000 annually to support Cherry Crest Elementary students, families and staff.  We have talented teachers who rely on these funds to maintain the educational programs distinguishing Cherry Crest Elementary as the #1 Bellevue Elementary school and the #4 Elementary school in Washington.
  • Our goal is to raise $450 per student to continue this crucial aid.

Will there be anything free for me to do at the Carnival?

There will be plenty of free games and activities like a Photo Booth, Disc Golf, Giant Connect 4, Corn Hole, Soccer, Hula Hoops, a Guessing Booth, Chalk, Bubbles, and more! If you return your Giving Month envelope by Oct 2nd, you’ll also get 5 carnival tickets. You can buy ticket packages onsite the day of the Carnival starting at $25 if you’d like to do the inflatable obstacle course, challenge Principal Stedman to a game of “Pie face”, get your face professionally painted, get a balloon twisted, or play the many fun carnival games where you can win a prize!

What food and drinks will be available for purchase at the Carnival?

We’ll have 2 food trucks – Mexican and Thai – as well as Pizza onsite. We’ll also have Boba tea, juice, water, and sparkling water for sale. And Carnival treats like cotton candy, snow cones, and popcorn. A portion of food sales will benefit the Cherry Crest PTSA, so come hungry!

Can I buy individual tickets for the Carnival vs. the Unlimited Pass?

Yes, you can buy ticket packages onsite at the Carnival. The more you buy, the more you’ll save. The best value if you want to try your hand at most of the Carnival games and do the Inflatable obstacle course or Inflatable slides more than once is to opt for the Unlimited or Fast Pass. All ticket sales will benefit Cherry Crest Elementary directly – thank you for your support!

Is there anything not included in the Unlimited or Fast Pass for the Carnival?

Yes, the Principal Pie Face challenge isn’t included in the Unlimited or Fast Pass. Nor are food and drink purchases. Everything else though is part of the Unlimited or Fast Pass, including unlimited turns at the 40 foot obstacle courses, 18 foot slides, and giant inflatable games like Baseball, Frisbee, Soccer Fever, Axe throwing, and more! You’ll also get 1 face painting, 1 balloon twister, and 1 raffle ticket! The photo booth will be free for all!

Can my junior high student or high schooler volunteer at the Carnival and earn volunteer hours?

Yes, we’ll need a ton of volunteers for the Carnival to be a success. Please have them signup for a volunteer spot here. In the comments, please mention they are a junior high or high school student so we know to expect their volunteer hours form later. Thanks!

I have an idea for the Carnival. Who should I contact?

Great, we’d love to hear it! Please contact carnival@cherrycrest-ptsa.org to share more.

Are you looking for sponsors for the Carnival or other school events? If so, who should I contact?

Yes, we’d love to have sponsors help us with reducing the cost of these events and help sponsors get their name out to the Cherry Crest 550+ family strong Comm(Unity). Please contact: carnival@cherrycrest-ptsa.org.

Will my donations be matched?

Yes, if your company offers corporate matching, you can submit your donation receipt for company matching. We also are running an incentive for corporate matching. If you donate $300 or more and show the proof that you’ve submitted for corporate matching during our annual fundraising campaigns by filling out this form, you can earn a Cherry Crest custom blanket. Supplies are limited so don’t delay in submitting your corporate match of $300 or more during this Fundraising period.

Do parents need to be present for children to participate?

Yes, this is not a drop off event so you must have an adult accompany children/students at the Carnival. Note: An adult can supervise multiple students/friends.

Can non Cherry Crest students attend the Carnival?

Yes, feel free to invite other friends and family to come take part and enjoy the Cherry Crest carnival – the more, the merrier!
